Junior Golf
Being a family-oriented club, Edina Country Club continues to have a successful junior golf program. The club has produced some magnificent junior golfers over the years. Many of the ECC juniors compete on their local high school teams, and some have continued in the college and professional ranks.
The main goal of the junior golf program is to introduce juniors to the game in both a fun and interesting manner so they will gain an interest in the game and strive to learn the important aspects of golf. The game of golf teaches juniors respect, discipline, how to compete individually and how to enjoy this sport of a lifetime. We believe it's important for juniors learning the game to develop the proper fundamentals and building blocks in the short game, long game, rules and etiquette when they are young so they can improve with age. The Edina Country Club junior program is a complete lesson series that will teach your son or daughter these important fundamentals.
ECC has adopted the Family Course tee initiative developed by USKids/PGA of America. In this program, a set of shorter tees have been designed for juniors to tee off from, based on their ability. This in turn has made the game more enjoyable to junior golfers and their families when playing golf at Edina CC.
