Description: This par-4 can be one of the most-difficult holes on the course. First, you must avoid the fairway bunker that cuts across the left side. But a tee shot on the right side of the fairway can mean your approach shot is blocked by trees because the green angles to the right. The uphill green plays about a club longer than the yardage. A pot bunker about 15 yards short of the green can be very troublesome. The smallish green has a false front, which comes into play when the pin placement is nearby.
How to Play It: Hit your tee shot down the left side of the fairway and leaving it short of the fairway bunker is a must! The large tree short right of the green will definitely affect any tee shot down the right side of the fairway on your second shot. The uphill second shot requires you to club up and hit one more club longer than the actual yardage. This will take the bunker short of the green out of play and allow you to get over the false front of the green. | |
